Tamyra Gray Baby

COLOR ME PINK ~ It’s a girl for American Idol alum Tamyra Gray and her husband, music producer and former Color Me Badd member, Sam Watters!  Sienna Marie arrived on July 17, 2010.

“We are overjoyed with the arrival of our little lady,” Gray tells People magazine. “I’ve never known love to this capacity. She smiles already and it just stills my heart.”

Where did the couple get the inspiration for the name?

“We didn’t actually pick her name — she did,” says the new mom.

“I know it sounds weird, but back in February I had a dream where she told me her name. I shared my dream with Sam and we decided we’d wait and see. It took us eight hours after her birth to name her and at the end, we went with her suggestion.”

The couple have been married since 2006 and this is their first child.

Organic Names

ORGANIC NAMES ~ The term organic pertains to a class of chemical compounds that comprise those existing in or derived from plants, animals and all other compounds of carbon as well as characteristic of, pertaining to, or derived from living organisms. In fine arts, the term organic pertains to the shapes or forms in a work of art that are of irregular contour and seem to resemble or suggest forms found in nature. In architectural terms it pertains to any work of architecture regarded as analogous to plant or animal forms in having a structure and a plan that fulfill perfectly the functional requirements for the building and that form in themselves an intellectually lucid, integrated whole. And in the world of Celebrity, organic names seem to follow the irregular contour of trendy baby names. Some organic names are endearing such as Honey or Peaches and others are unique with names like Pine and Moon Unit.
