DOUBLE DUTY ~ It is double the joy for Canadian singer Céline Dion as her dream to expand her family has come true People exclusively reports.
The singer delivered twins after many struggles with fertility. Dion underwent six in-vitro fertilization attempts.
The boys arrived on October 23, 2010 in West Palm Beach, Florida at 11:11 a.m. and 11:12 a.m.
"Celine, René and their son René-Charles are thrilled," says her rep.
One of the babies weighed in at 5 lbs., 4 oz., with the other at 5 lbs., 10 oz.
Dion's doctor, Ronald Ackerman, said at a press conference outside the hospital Friday evening that the delivery, done via C-section, went as expected. He also revealed that the twins were both born with a good amount of hair. Although the twins are healthy, they will spend the next few days in an incubator because they were born premature.
Celine comes from a family of 14. Angélil also has three other children from two previous marriages.
