Jools & Jamie Oliver Baby

THE BUN IS OUT OF THE OVEN ~ Jamie and Jools Oliver are celebrating the birth of their third child who was born on April 3, 2009.

A spokesperson for the couple said; "Jamie and Jools Oliver are delighted to announce the arrival of Petal Blossom Rainbow this morning at 2.46am.

"Petal was born at the Portland Hospital in Central London, weighed in at 6lb 10oz and both she and Jools are doing well. "

Jamie was receiving text updates from the hospital while he cooked dinner for world leaders at Downing Street on Wednesday night.

Jamie told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that Jools was induced due to high blood pressure: “We’re talking about the most stressful 46 hours of my life I think.

“My wife was due yesterday - actually on the day that we did the big dinner for Barack and the other 20 leaders of the world - but luckily it didn’t happen yesterday."

Jools revealed that she used hormone treatments to conceive the girls (Daisy Boo and Poppy Honey). A source close to the star insisted that the latest addition had been conceived naturally. Jools has published a non-fiction book about her problems conceiving. Minus Nine to One: The Diary of an Honest Mum, famously revealed intimate details of the couple's fertility process, including one about Jamie racing across London on his scooter to deliver a jam jar of his sperm to Hammersmith Hospital.

The couple have been married since 2000 and have known each other since they were 15.

He made his name on BBC2 as the Naked Chef and founded the restaurant chain, 15, to train disadvantaged young people. In recent years he has campaigned on public health issues, notably Jamie's School Dinners which campaigned for the provision of better quality meals for school children.
