Nick Schultz Baby


THE WILD HAVE A NEW FAN ~ The Edmonton Sun is reporting that Canadian NHL player Nick Schultz is a first time daddy. Nick's wife Jessica gave birth to the couple's son Jake Douglas on Tuesday, October 9th, 2007 at 12:11 a.m. The baby boy weighed 6lbs, 10oz and was 20" long. "It's a pretty special feeling," the new dad said.

Nick is a defenceman for the Minnesota Wild and hails from Saskatchewan. He was selected in the second round, 33rd overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Wild. He has also represented Canada at the 2006 World Championships and at the 2007 IIHF World Championship (where Team Canada won gold in a 4-2 win against Finland) in Moscow. Nick and his wife Jessica live in Calgary in the off-season.
